Brighton Summer Festival

The York family spent a Sunday afternoon at the downtown Brighton Summer Festival. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time. Kendall started out by smelling some of the flowers and then sat at a store entrance while doing a little people watching! We then went to the pond to see the ducks and fish (we didn't even try to feed them given Kendall's past history!). Wehad a nice family picture taken and then Kendall decided to just sit and enjoy the moment!! Lastly, we let Kendall have her first real pony ride. Looks like she did fine, huh? In reality the ride lasted about 30 seconds before she started crying! Oh well, it was her first rodeo!!

Feeding the Fish??

Kendall was supposed to be feeding the fish and ducks, but as you can see she doesn't seem to really understand the concept!

Too Cute...

I just thought Kendall looked really cute in this outfit. Our friend Erin gave this shirt to Kendall as a get well gift (it was really for mom because I love polka dots!). Kendall has been sick for the last 5 weeks or so, off and on. We finally have everything figured out and she is doing much better! Yeah!!

4th of July picnic

We had a picnic at our house on the 4th. Kendall had lots of friends to play with- here is our neighbor Courtney (otherwise known as 'NeNe') and another neighbor Connor.

Pool Time!

Here is Kendall and her friend Jackson (cute, huh?!?) cooling off on a scorching summer Michigan day (that means 80 degrees!). When they got out it had cooled down to about 70 and there were some purple lips!!

Fourth of July weekend

Mimi and Papa Gary came to visit this weekend. Kendall had a great time just saying their names over and over again all weekend. Here are some pics of Kendall looking festive in her holiday dress!

Just singing in the rain...

Kendall had a blast playing in the rain. Isn't it sad that we had to wait until June to let her do this? Before then it had been too cold to let her out in the rain. Oh well, that's Michigan for you...
