I'm a Big Sister!!!

Kendall got to come visit her new brothers, Noah (left) and Andrew (right) the day after they were born. She did pretty well while visiting. They were still in the NICU which made her a little nervous. When I first picked up Noah she said "lay him down!" After that, she had no other issues with the boys. She wanted to touch them, kiss them, put their hats on and burp them. She really is adorable with them and adjusting very well.

Happy 4th of July

Here is Kendall looking rather cute (if I say so myself) for the 4th of July. We thought we should have one more picture of mom's big belly. Kendall loved patting, burping and feeding the babies before they were born! This picture was 8 days before the birth of the boys.

Cousins come to visit!

James' family came to town and stayed with us for a few days. We had a great visit and got to do a lot of fun things. We went to the petting zoo, the lake, and had a bonfire to name a few. Kendall really had a blast with them all but seemed to really take to Samantha. Everywhere we went they were holding hands. They played dress up which was adorable. For one whole day Kendall wanted nobody but her grandma- poor Grandma was exhausted!!

Mimi comes to town!

Mimi (Ashley's mom) came to stay with us for a long weekend while James was away on a business trip. Ashley is very tired lately and needs lots of help with Kendall and the house so Mimi was very busy while she was here. We took Kendall down to the lake and let her make pizzas! Much thanks to Mimi for all her help!!

Weekend in Chicago!

We went to Chicago in April- we are trying to get in as much traveling as possible before the babies arrive. We had a blast and got to do tons of fun things with Kendall. Even though she's only 2 her favorite place was by far the American Girl doll store. She could have stayed for hours but James eventually just picked her up and carried her out. We went to the aquarium, Navy Pier, Rainforest Cafe, and just walked along Michigan Ave. looking at the flowers. It was a wonderful weekend!!

Playing with Charlotte

I have tons of pictures to show off of Kendall since it's been months since our last posting. We have been very busy with moving and just recently got our computer back up and going. I will try to be selective and not put up too many pictures, but there are so many cute ones to choose from! Here is Kendall playing with one of her friends Charlotte.

Happy Easter!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful easter holiday! We had a nice, relaxing day here in Michigan with just the 3 of us. We started off the day with Kendall discovering her easter basket. She loved the eggs with candy in them- she shook every one of them hoping that they all had something in it. We then went to church with our neighbors. I know to our southern friends her "easter" dress doesn't like quite springy enough, but do you see the snow outside. We had to improvise and pull out a spring-colored dress! Oh well!

Taking Care of the Twins

Kendall is going to be such a great help when the babies arrive. This weekend I was sitting on the couch and Kendall wanted to give the babies a kiss. Then she said they were hungry and ran around the room until she found a bottle and proceeded to feed the babies through my belly button. Next she said they had pooped and needed a clean diaper. She ran to get a clean diaper and tried to figure out how to change their diaper. And I thought I was going to need a nanny to help me with the babies!!!

Potty Training?!?

We've started working on potty training but as you can tell from this picture we've not had great results yet! She thinks she needs to "peep" like daddy and even has sound effects that go with it!

San Francisco

James and Ashley got to have a long weekend by themselves in San Francisco- trying to squeeze in a few little trips before the twins arrive! We did tons of walking, all day long, up and down hills, even made it to the top of Lombard Street (the most crooked, hilly street)! I'd have to say this is not advisable for a pregnant woman!! It was a wonderful trip with lots of eating and sightseeing. Kendall had a fun weekend with Grandma and Papa, but was ecstatic when we arrived there to pick her up. There's nothing like an excited 2 year old's hug to make you feel loved!!

Future Hairstylist?!?

We had to get a new picture up so you wouldn't have to see poor Kendall's banged up face anymore. She's got that good 'ole fair skin and the bruises have just gone away in the last week or so. Kendall recently has found a love for bows and other hair products. I do believe she may have a future in hair- what do you think?

Kendall's Shiner!

Well, we have had an interesting week with Miss Kendall! On Sunday night, a game of ring of rosey got a little out of hand and Kendall fell into our wooden TV stand with her mouth and face!! We spent a few hours at the ER and then visited the dentist the next day. In a nutshell she displaced 2 teeth and tore a bunch of roots and ligaments. She's got a crooked little smile and she might have some teeth that die. The most obvious injury is of course her shiner! Through all of this, Kendall has been a champ. She got motrin once and never complained again- gotta love her!!
